Should I book maternity photos? | St. Louis Maternity Photographer

During my many years serving expecting parents as a Maternity Photographer, and Newborn Photographer, I have run into parents who tell me they are on the fence about doing a maternity photo session. Their reasoning is often that they are saving up to just capture their family together in images once their new addition arrives, or sometimes its that mom is not confident in her pregnancy appearance, and many other times it is that time has flown by so quickly and they just didn’t think about it until it was too close to the end of their pregnancy. In addition to this, one of the biggest reasons clients tell me they were not planning to do a maternity photo session is because they don’t know what they would wear.

Every single bit of this is totally understandable, for several months, your body has transformed into someone you don’t fully recognize as yourself. Your body has prioritized growing your beautiful baby, and you do not get to choose what features about yourself change. All of the above situations, are  where I love to best serve my clients. Prospective clients are always relieved to hear that I am a full service maternity photographer. Are you wondering, well what does this mean?  Allow me to explain-  first of all, from our first contact I will be educating you on when to do the session, the best places to do your session whether that be at one of my favorite outdoor locations, maybe it may be in my Hillsboro Missouri photo studio, or even in your home or an outdoor location that has special meaning to you as a couple or family. I have a very detailed planning process where I learn about you, your family, your likes, and your dislikes. I offer a client closet which is full of beautiful designer gowns, simple items for mamas who are not really into the fancy designer gown look, and more. I offer a service where a personal stylist will help us plan your wardrobe for all family members for your session, and she will simply create a clickable shopping list for your which takes all the guess work out of planning a gorgeous maternity photo session with Love to the Moon Photography.

Once my clients book a session with me, I will hold their hand through the whole planning process, from clothing, to hair and makeup artist referrals, the photo session with guiding them through techniques to get the very best photos, and through the process after the session so that they can print their photos to hang on the walls in their home, and preserve as memories and family heirlooms. I never want my clients to feel like they need to figure out something on their own. I will be here each step of the way. I do recommend booking sooner than later as my schedule does fill up, but don’t be deterred by that because I will work you into my schedule if I am able to. My sessions do have a Lot of thought and time put into them though and I would love to see you get to experience my whole process.
